Frequently Asked Questions
Which bank partners does Drake offer?
Drake Tax integrates with five bank partners: EPS Financial, Refund Advantage, Refundo, Republic Bank, and Santa Barbara TPG. See Bank Products for Tax Professionals for an overview of how bank products work in Drake Tax.
Can I use more than one bank partner at a time?
No. Drake allows one active bank partner per EFIN per tax season, so choose your partner before you begin e-filing returns with bank products. Compare options across EPS, Republic, Santa Barbara TPG, Refund Advantage, and Refundo.
How do Drake’s bank partners compare on fees, advances, and incentives?
Each partner sets its own refund transfer pricing, advance tiers, prepaid card options, and ERO incentive programs. Visit each partner page for current fees, advance limits, and office support products, or read the comparison overview in Bank Products for Tax Professionals.
Which Drake bank partners offer pre-ACK refund advances?
All five Drake bank partners offer pre-acknowledgment advance options, including EPS, Refund Advantage, Refundo, Republic (preACK Easy Advance), and Santa Barbara TPG (Pre-Ack Advance). Availability, amounts, and ERO costs vary; see EPS, Republic, and Santa Barbara TPG for product-specific details.
Which bank partners offer prepaid-card, check, and direct-deposit disbursement?
All five Drake bank partners support multiple disbursement methods, though specific card brands and check options differ. See EPS (FasterMoney), Republic (NetSpend), and Refund Advantage (FasterMoney) for card and check options. Santa Barbara TPG (Green Dot) is only offering check options for tax year 2026.
Do I need to submit a separate bank application for every EFIN?
Yes. Drake requires a completed bank application for each EFIN through which you plan to offer bank products. Enroll through Drake Support at Account > Bank Application after choosing a partner from EPS, Republic, Santa Barbara TPG, Refund Advantage, or Refundo.
Do tax preparers have to renew their bank application each year?
Yes. Banks process bank products only for the current filing year, and you must complete, confirm, and submit a new Drake bank application each season even if prior-year data pre-fills. Start by selecting your partner for the new season on any bank partner page.
Can I change bank partners after submitting my Drake bank application?
You can change your active bank for an EFIN via Drake Support under Account > Bank Application > Bank Status, but canceling or replacing an in-process application may require contacting the bank directly. Compare alternatives on EPS, Republic, Santa Barbara TPG, Refund Advantage, or Refundo before switching.
