Frequently Asked Questions
You will have the option to cancel or modify your subscription at the end of the annual plan. There is no bundle upgrade option within the current annual term of the plan. Bundle offers are based on the tax product you purchase for the tax year.
The base Practice Essentials bundle is designed for tax preparers who prepare up to 249 returns. Practice Essentials Plus provides higher-volume practices with more included storage space, basic e-signatures, and KBA e-signatures allotments. Additional storage and e-signatures are available for purchase for an additional fee, regardless of which bundle you choose.
The Practice Essentials bundle saves roughly 40% off of the total a-la-carte value of the included products:
- Drake Portals (25 GB storage)
- Drake Workflow
- Drake E-Sign (200 basic e-signatures, 50 KBA e-signatures)
The Practice Essentials Plus bundle also saves roughly 40% off of the total a-la-carte value of the included products:
- Drake Portals (50 GB storage)
- Drake Workflow
- Drake E-Sign (unlimited basic e-signatures, 100 KBA signatures)
Additional storage and signatures are available for each package for an additional fee.
The Practice Essentials bundle is available to customers purchasing Drake Tax Pro 250, Drake Tax 1040 150, or Drake Tax Online with 25-249 returns. The Practice Essentials Plus bundle is available to customers purchasing Unlimited Drake Tax Pro, Unlimited Drake Tax 1040, or Drake Tax Online with 250+ returns.
Practice Essentials Bundles are not currently available to Drake Tax Pay-Per-Return users.
Customers who already use Drake Portals, Drake E-Sign, or Drake Workflow can still purchase a Practice Essentials bundle. Eligibility is based on the tax software product selected.
Note: Annual subscribers of Drake Portals or Drake Workflow who upgrade to a Practice Essentials bundle may be eligible for a credit for their remaining subscription months. Look for the upgrade option during tax software renewal, or call the Orders Team at (828) 349-5900.
