Drake Tax® Wins 3 Categories in Survey of New York State CPAs

Drake Tax won the Value for Cost, Customer Support, and Overall Rating categories in the recent New York State Society of CPAs survey.
The 2022 Annual Survey of New York State Practitioners queries the society’s membership on their satisfaction with practice management and tax preparation tools, including topics such as contactless technology and challenges faced during filing season. Drake Software users who participated in the survey consistently rated Drake Tax higher in Value for Cost, Customer Support, and Overall Rating categories than other participants rated their respective software.
These results are unsurprising to others in the industry. In its own analysis of the survey, the CPA Journal notes that Drake Software has received the highest overall rating, consistently winning the category in 12 of the last 13 years.
Considering the challenges of the last year, taking the top spot in these three categories is no small feat. According to the CPA journal, “IRS staff shortages contributed to long waits to reach IRS helplines and a ballooning backlog of unprocessed returns, which created a challenging environment for practitioners … [contributing] to an environment in which CPAs must constantly reassess the best way to deploy talent and manage resources.”
