How were tax professionals affected by the second filing season in a pandemic?

Drake Software for the third year in a row surveyed tax professionals about their experience during filing season. More than 3,000 respondents completed the survey, a group comprised of attorneys, CPAs, EAs, and non-credentialed preparers.

As the second year directly affected by COVID-19, the survey focused on issues related to the pandemic, like:

• The filing deadline delay
• Economic Impact Payments
• Paycheck Protection Program loans
• The Employee Retention Credit
• The New Unemployment Exclusion

Respondents were also asked about their return volume and other challenges they faced this year.
