More Than 3,000 Cards Delivered

Drake Software and Macon County schools produced more than 3,000 Christmas cards for the American Red Cross (ARC) Holiday for Heroes project and more than 100 cards for the second annual Holiday Cards for Cops program. For both projects, Drake Software distributed supplies to participating schools, where faculty and staff held card-creating events for students. Once the cards were completed, Drake collected them for delivery.

The ARC delivered the Holiday for Heroes cards to patients in Western North Carolina VA hospitals. The cards were created by students from ten participating schools: Cartoogechaye Elementary, East Franklin Elementary, Highlands School, Iotla Valley Elementary, Mountain View Intermediate, Macon Middle School, Nantahala School, South Macon Elementary, Trimont Christian Academy, and Union Academy.

Partnering with the Macon County VIP Program, Drake Software sent student-created Christmas cards to the Franklin Police Department and Macon County Sheriff’s Department as part of the Holiday Cards for Cops program.
