Drake Celebrates New Greenville Location with Hackathon

Drake Celebrates New Greenville Location with Hackathon

Drake Software® (“Drake”), one of the leading professional tax software developers, is excited to announce the opening of a new location in Greenville, SC. To celebrate, Drake plans to host a hackathon on April 23, 2022.

This event (“Hacktivate Greenville”) will be sponsored by leading software companies, including SalesForce and Slack. Participants will compete in teams to build a software solution to a stated problem. Drake engineers will serve as mentors, answering questions and providing guidance to participants on technological solutions, while some members of the Greenville County School system will serve as mentors and judges.

“As one of the original developers asked to pilot the electronic filing system by the Internal Revenue Service, we have always taken pride in finding innovative solutions—and hackathons represent that spirit of ingenuity,” said Joi Frederick, Drake Software Director of Employee Engagement and Corporate Communications. “We are looking forward to bringing out the best and brightest in Greenville and surrounding areas.”

There is no cost to register, and participants will compete for cash prizes and of course bragging rights. For more information about the event, visit www.hacktivategreenville.com.
