IRS e-Services Launch Delayed

IRS e-Services Launch Delayed

The Internal Revenue Service says its transition to a new e-Services platform is taking longer than they expected. This means the ability to submit new or change existing applications to access the IRS tools will remain offline for “several more days.”

The IRS says it will issue an update early this week on progress.

In the meantime, Registration Services, the Transcript Delivery System (TDS), and TIN Matching are online and available to users.

Some TDS users, however are reporting issues related to bookmarks. The e-Services landing page has been redesigned, so old bookmarked URLs may not work.

To access the E-Services landing page follow these steps: IRS.gov > Tax Pros > Access e-Services > (select your user segment) > e-Services Login screen

Forget genes; I’ve got words in my DNA. Communication has been part of who I am nearly all my life. From a long career in radio news to another one in newspapers – and a University of Georgia journalism degree sandwiched between the two – language has been my life. I’ve also been fortunate to have learned the tax business from the ground up here at Drake, starting with 1040.com online forms some years ago before moving on to work on the Web. In all things tax-ish, we aim to give you tools you can use.
