Profile of Christine Reynolds
Director of Education
Drake Software
Christine Reynolds didn't start out to be an educator.
Born and raised in south and central Florida, her family moved to NC after she graduated high school, where she started her studies in communications at Western Carolina University. A few years later, she met her husband-to-be, moved back to Florida and ended up at Keiser University with a degree in computer networking.
Returning to be near their families in North Carolina, Christine took a job doing billing and setting up email accounts for a local Internet Service Provider.
In 2002, she heard of a job writing technical manuals for Drake Software and joined the company. Christine has moved up in the education department at Drake to become director in July of 2008. She is responsible for the planning and implementation of education programs, including customer-training, continuing education, presentations, and leading a team of education specialists.
Married for the past 10 years and with two children, Reynolds likes living in the mountains – except during the winter.
“We really enjoy anything outside or near the water,” she says. “We spend time on the lakes and rivers. We vacation at the beach. With two kids and a full-time job, I don’t have time for a lot of hobbies. Mostly I like spending time with my kids, and when I have time, indulging in a book. I love to cook, so if that’s considered a hobby, I guess I have one.”
“I enjoy working for a big company in a small town,” says Reynolds, “especially one that gives me so many opportunities and challenges. We’re really invested in what we do, and we all work together to accomplish our goals.”
“When you work for Drake, you can’t help but want to do the best for our customers.”
