AFSP Deadline; Revised PTIN Application and Renewal Fee (1)
An IRS press release addressed two important issues:
- After December 31, non-credentialed tax return preparers who have not secured an AFSP record of completion will not be able to represent clients before the IRS next tax season.
- After November 1, applying for or renewing a PTIN will both drop to $50.
